Leading harness racing trainer Grant Dixon looks to have unearthed a very promising two year old if the win of Fight For Victory (Bettors Delight) in the Garrards Changeover Two year old classic at Albion Park on Saturday night is any indication.

Fight For Victory was well beaten a month ago at his debut when he was restrained at the start.
Once again Fight For Victory was given some time to settle down before positioning in the one out and two back trail.
Trainer Chantal Turpin had four of the eight runners including the highly promising colt Barsby and the filly Wontyoustaywithme who she elected to drive. Showing dazzling early speed Wontyoustaywithme easily held the early lead but stablemate Barsby was sent around the field by Pete McMullen to eventually take up the running.
The pace was solid throughout with the first two quarters in 28.4 and 28.6 seconds and Barsby looked to be travelling well within himself on the final bend.
However Fight For Victory was balanced by Dixon and he simply charged past his opponents to record a most impressive win over Wontyoustaywithme who just edged out Barsby for second placing.
FIGHT FOR VICTORY APR 26 REPLAY
Fight For Victory’s winning mile rate of 1.53.5 is evidence that Queensland has a very worthy youngster who will feature in the forthcoming classics. The youngster is raced by Kevin and Kay Seymour who have achieved great success with Dixon most notably with the country’s most renowned pacer of the moment in Leap to Fame.

Fight For Victory is a classically bred colt. His dam Fame Assured won 24 races for $318,000 in prize money.
Barsby who worked hard to reach the lead finished just under nine metres from the winner and he is bound to improve on that effort as is Wontyoustaywithme.
