Two heats of the Woodlands Stud Great Southern Star have been run and won with Plymouth Chubb (Majestic Son) regaining peak form in the first heat, leading all the way to record an easy harness racing victory.

In the second heat Im Ready Jet (Quaker Jet) finished powerfully to wear down the Kiwi trotter Majestic Man right on the line.

The draw for the Woodlands Stud Great Southern Star Final will be held in the Scotch Notch Cafe at Tabcorp Park Melton following the running of race 5Ā at 8:03pm.
Connections of the 10 qualifiers, consisting of the first three home in each heat and the next four fastest finishers, are required to be at the draw to select their barriers.
A Harness Racing Victoria representative will confirm with connections after the heats who will represent them in the draw.
During the draw, Harness Racing Victoria Senior Handicapper Paul Oxenford will pullĀ the names of the 10 finalists in random order, withĀ connections stepping forward to choose their preferred barriers of those available. If a connection is not in attendance the horse will be assigned the lowest available gate when their name is randomly drawn.
