It will deliver a jam-packed program of quality racing, highlighted the running of two $100,000 Group 1 finals on 16 April.
The Riverina Championships have emerged as one of the most sought after titles in New South Wales racing following the highly-successful debut of the format last year.
It came on the back of a COVID-enforced year-long delay to the launch of the innovative concept.
āAfter the frustration of having to cancel the inaugural running of the Riverina Championships we could not have been happier with how the public responded and really embraced the event last year,ā HRNSW Chief Executive John Dumesny said.
āIt has well and truly established itself as one of the marquee family events on the Easter weekend.
āSo weāre delighted to confirm it is back and this year weāre confident with a shift to twilight racing it will be even bigger and better in 2022.ā
The Championships will commence with heats at one of the stateās premier race tracks, the Riverina Paceway in Wagga on Friday, 8 April.
The Easter Saturday program will also feature two Consolation Finals worth $14,500 to the winning connections.
Riverina Paceway Chief Executive Greg Gangle said preparations were already underway for this yearās event.
āWe are thrilled to be hosting another Easter Carnival in 2022. The Riverina Championships have been a wonderful initiative and we will continue to build on last yearās incredible success,ā Mr Gangle said.
