Brilliant Changeover two-year-old Quik Change tasted Group 1 harness racing success for the first time when he captured the $150,000 QBred Triad Final at Albion Park on Saturday night (Aug 19).
Taking full advantage of a pocket trip, the gelding rallied strongly down the outside to win comfortably by two metres.
The mile rate for the 1660 metres was a slick 1:55.
Quik Change has now won three races and $119,663 in stakes. Earlier in the season he won the Listed QBred Breeders Classic.
Bred by Chris and Daren Garrard, Quik Change is the second foal out of the Group winning Cammibest mare Mathilda Diventa 1:55 ($129,171).

Other recent Australian winners by Changeover include Little Change (Redcliffe), Yankee Boot Flat (Ararat) and Change Of Mind (Parkes), while in North America he was represented by the Georgian Downs, Ontario victor Darkershadeofpale NZ (1:53.4).
Changeover, who is standing at Burwood Stud in Queensland, has progeny earnings of almost $930,000 in Australia this season.
