Aaron Bain Racing and Summit Bloodstock have purchased the four-year-old, who raced 33 times for seven wins and earned more than $160,000 in the care of Ecklin South trainer Matthew Craven.
Kimble’s career highlight came when winning the Vicbred Super Series 2YO Colts and Geldings Final in 2020 and he last raced in February’s Ararat Pacing Cup, placing ninth after an early speed battle.
“Kimble is obviously a quality individual already winning a Group 1 and when the opportunity came
to purchase him, we were pleased to finally strike a suitable deal for all parties,” Bain told aaronbainracing.com.au.
“With his gate speed and HWOE rating, we believe he is best suited to continue his racing in Western
Australia and will make his way to the stables of Michael Young.
“The main target for Kimble this year will be the Golden Nugget later in the year.”
Young told aaronbainracing.com.au he’d be “very disappointed” if Kimble didn’t pay his way in Perth.
“There is a feature here in early July, but we will see how he travels and settles in before making any set plans,” Young said.
“But I’m sure we will be able to find some nice races in the lead-up to the Nugget.”
While Kimble has departed, Craven has another exciting four-year-old in his ranks.
Bettor Isolate kept himself in the conversation for a start in Queensland’s The Rising Sun with another brilliant display at Tabcorp Park Melton on Saturday night.
The win was his third from three starts this preparation, all of which have been by big margins.
Craven has asked Racing Queensland administrators to keep an eye on his charge for the $305,000 invitational event, which is for three and four-year-old pacers at Albion Park on July 9.
