Talented gelding Brandlo Prince provided the highlight of a busy week for the French sire Orlando Vici when he came from near last to win harness racing’s Group 3 Coulter Crown at Melton.
It was his 14th success and lifted his stake tally to beyond $195,000.
Orlando Vici sired the winners of both heats of the Tornado Valley Trot at Melton in Ollivici NZ (1:58.8) and Adelle NZ (1:59.1). The former is undefeated in four starts this season.
The highly promising three-year-old Cravache Dor (by Orlando Vici) further underlined his potential by capturing a heat of the Need For Speed Prince Series at Melton, his third win from four starts this season.
Orlando Vici boasts the amazing siring score of 17 winners from 21 starters in Australia at an average of $41,190 per starter.
Champion sire Love You was represented by six winners in the space of 10 days.
They included the Menangle winner Parisian Artiste (1:58.4), Father Christmas NZ (Albion Park) and Luvaflair (Gloucester Park) and the NZ winners Cruise Liner (Auckland), Jasinova (Cambridge Raceway) and the three-year-old Master Class (Rangiora).
Love Youās outstanding son Quaker Jet sired a winning double at Winton, NZ with Velocity Jet and Expensive Crumpet.
Orlando Vici, Love You and Quaker Jet are members of the sire lineup at Haras Des Trotteurs stud, Ballarat (VIC.).
