Although his name is missing from tonight’s last Sydney meeting of the year at Penrith, Cameron Hart has secured both the New South Wales Drivers’ Premiership and the Concession Drivers’ Premiership.
The 22-year-old has driven 174 winners in his home state this year, his best season to date since he began driving in the 2015/16 season.
Hart won eight group races this season, including three group 1 races.
This success was with Madrid in the Breeders Challenge Final, My Ultimate Byron in the Australian Pacing Gold Final and Techys Angel in the Riverina Championship.
Amongst Hart’s achievements this year was also two Inter Dominion heats with talented trotter Timothy Red.
Trainer Belinda McCarthy has the lead in both the NSW Trainers’ Premiership and Metropolitan Trainers’ Premiership while her husband Luke McCarthy claimed the NSW Metropolitan Drivers’ Premiership this season.
There are just four meetings left in NSW for the year.
