The brilliant He’s Watching three-year-old filly Rose Run Victoria captured her second Ontario Sires Stakes Gold division when she won the $104,800 feature at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Tuesday (September 29).
Driven patiently by Jody Jamieson, the filly powered home from midfield to score by 1-3/4 lengths in a career-best 1:50.8.
Rose Run Victoria’s next assignment will be the $250,000 Ontario Sires Stakes Super Final on October 17.
He’s Watching was represented by important two-year-old winners at Bathurst and Melton recently.
Jay Bracken took full advantage of a perfect trip to win a heat of the NSW Breeders Challenge in a new lifetime mark of 1:57.1, while Rendezvous led from end to end at only his second outing at Melton.
Another ‘new’ winner by He’s Watching was the four-year-old Texas Tara, who won at his second start on the grass at Motukarara Raceway, New Zealand.
Other He’s Watching winners in Canada have been the two-year-old Always Watching (1:54) and the three-year-old fillies Moosette (1:57.8) and Lady Eliza (1:57.8).
