Australian harness racing fans have not seen Lochinvar Art (Modern Art) race since February however the $1.4 million earner looks to be back on track sooner than expected.
The stallion was produced at the Shepparton trials tonight (Jul. 28) ā his first public appearance since that fifth in the Hunter Cup.
Lochinvar Art did not disappoint and won his official hit-out effortlessly clocking the final quarter in 26.7 seconds with driver Nathan Jack at the reins.
Trained by Rodney Lakey, Lochinvar Art has only had three starts this year.
Prior to that the six-year-old spent almost a year away from the track due to injury, spending time at stud in the interim.

There are a number of feature races earmarked for Lochinvar Art including the Victoria Cup.
He will resume racing with a record of 28 wins and 21 placings in 53 starts.
