It has been a big couple of seasons for Georges Plains mentor Bernie Hewitt and it was topped off with another Group winner on the weekend.
Hewitt won the Breeders Challenge True Blue Group 2 with Kashed Up at Menangle on Saturday night, giving Hewitt his 10th Group winner as a trainer.
Kashed Up, a son of For A Reason, was bred and is raced by Hewittās daughter Gemma Hewitt who recently relocated to Queensland and could not campaign her horse in New South Wales with the travel restrictions that were in place.
Handing the reins over to her father saw Kashed Up also finished third in the major Breeders Challenge series to Bar Room Banta on October 30.

Kashed Upās results this season have seen him pocket $122,489 in stakes.
The pacer will now head for a well-earned spell.
Meanwhile, the show goes on for Hewitt at Bathurst on Wednesday where he has eight starters. Hewitt will share the driving duties with his son Jason Hewitt.
