People entering harness racing tracks in Victoria from Monday February 1 will be required to complete an online Infectious Disease Declaration, which can be accessed via a QR Code or on the trots website (by clicking here) as Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) phases out paper entry forms.
People are asked to complete the forms no earlier than the day they attend the track.
HRV has issued a simple step-by-step user guide, where people can scan the QR code prior to arrival at a harness racing meeting.
HRV will give away merchandise randomly to people using the QR code system.
“It’s very easy to use. I can understand if you haven’t used QR codes before you might not know much about them, but it really is as simple as holding your smart phone camera to the code, clicking, and then filling in the form that automatically appears,” HRV General Manager of Integrity Brent Fisher said.
The Infectious Disease Declaration provides HRV important contact tracing information in the event of a COVID-19 case, and collection of this information is a requirement under HRV’s COVIDSafe plan.
