I Cast No Shadow (Shadow Play) will step out for the first time since his Inter Dominion Pacing Championship Grand Final harness racing victory in Saturday night’s (Jan. 14) Neatline Homes Shepparton Gold Cup.

The seven-year-old has drawn gate two for the $75,000 feature and will be one of three Jason Grimson-trained runners in the race.
Grimson, who claimed last weekend’s Bendigo Pacing Cup with Major Meister, also has Sicario (barrier seven) and Majestic Cruiser (11) engaged.
Julie Douglas has a big hand in the event with Bernie Winkle (three), Kosimo (five), Rick Reilly (nine) and Interest Free (10), while David Aiken will give new stable acquisition Cranbourne (four) his first Australian start in the Group 2 race alongside stablemate Max Delight (eight).
Jason Bonnington, Nikkita Ross and Kima Frenning will head-up the TrotsVision coverage from Shepparton, with Lachlan McIntosh to call the eight races.
The Shepparton Gold Cup will be followed by a big meeting from Hamilton on Sunday.
The $35,000 Matthews Petroleum Hamilton Pacing Cup and $20,000 Alexandra House Sports Club Hamilton Trotters Cup are the features on the card.
Fields for the meeting will be available tomorrow from 11.30am.
