Joyful nabs the $130,000 Vicbred 2YO Filly Final

Always B Miki filly Joyful has won the Group One $130,000 Art Major Vicbred Super Series Final for 2YO Fillies tonight (Dec. 31) at Tabcorp Park Melton in the hands of harness racing driver Mark Pitt.

Pitt urged Joyful to the front early in the race and dictated the speed on the $1.10 favourite. In the straight Joyful had enough petrol in the tank to hold on for a 2 metre win, rating 1:57.2 for the 2240m event.

The win of Joyful gave trainer Emma Stewart her second Group One of the night and she also trained the quinella in the race when Perfect In Pink ran home well into second.

She was a short price and she made short work of it!
