Dual Miracle Mile winner King Of Swing started his quest towards a Queensland campaign on the right ‘hoof’ today.
The pacer with earnings just shy of $2.3million won a trial at Menangle, in a leisurely 1:52.4 (for him) against stablemates Bright Energy and Bettor Enforce.
Capable of rating 1:48, he was driven by regular reinsman Luke McCarthy for his official hit-out.
“He’s back and looks great,” McCarthy said.
“He’s getting ready for the Queensland Winter Carnival and we can’t wait to get up there for the warmer weather.”
King Of Swing last raced when winning the $1million Miracle Mile at Menangle on March 6.
The son of Rocknroll Hanover was the highest-earning pacer in Australia last season and is once again at the top of the national leader board for this season.
He has had five starts this season for four wins and a third and has already banked $680,420 in prizemoney.
