Raging hot Victoria Cup harness racing favourite Leap To Fame (Bettor’s Delight) is no certainty to contest the Grand Circuit race.

Trainer-driver Grant Dixon today (Sep. 21) revealed the four-year-old superstar was “50-50” about making the trip to Victoria.
That’s despite Dixon being “very pleased” with Leap To Fame since his fighting second to Encipher in the inaugural $2.1mil TAB Eureka at Menangle on September 2.
“He’s well. We’re very pleased with him,” he said.
“As far as the Victoria Cup goes, he’s 50-50. We are going to leave it pretty late to make our minds up, I think.”
The Victoria Cup is on October 14, leaving just three weeks after this weekend to prepare.
It is an important warning from Dixon, given Leap To Fame is as short as $1.70 in pre-post Victoria Cup markets.
Leap To Fame, who boasts 23 wins from 31 starts and $1.38 million in earnings, has been to Victoria just once before.
He ran second to Captain Ravishing in a heat of the Victoria Derby on October 1 last year. Then turned the tables to brilliantly win the final a week later.
Leap To Fame has enjoyed a stellar season so far with eight starts, netting six wins and fantastic seconds in the TAB Eureka and Group 1 Blacks A Fake.
