A brilliant drive from Shane Graham on local filly Torque Like Motion (Four Starzzz Shark) resulted in the Brisbane reinsman completing a hat trick of harness racing wins in the Group 1 Queensland Oaks at Albion Park.Ā
TORQUE LIKE MOTION REPLAY
Torque Like Motion was buried four back along the pegs and Graham opted to drive for luck and didnāt go around a horse in his quest for victory.Ā
Graham stuck to the pegs taking the gaps as they presented themselves in the home straight and Torque Like Motion did the rest sprinting quickly to grab the lead over the concluding stages to score running away by five metres from Cheer Leader.Ā
Graham admitted he drove for luck on the $41 chance.Ā
āI went to the fence early and hoped for a bit of luck and from four fence around Albion Park is always a good spot if they go slow or fast,ā Graham said.Ā
āI was a bit worried at the 400 that we werenāt going to get a crack at them but it opened up at the top of the straight and she did the rest,ā he said.Ā Ā
Torque Like Motion is trained by Graham’s father Wayne who also trained the filly’s Group 1 winning dam Torque In Motion.Ā
āDad has done a great job with her and tonight is probably the best sheās ever gone,ā he said.Ā Ā
āWhen you are not expecting these wins they are always pretty good, we had a lot of luck there but she was still good enough to do the job.āĀ
