Just eight days after his Great Southern Star success Majestuoso bounced back into Group 1 winning form.
The son of Majestic Son claimed the $50,000 Knight Pistol at Tabcorp Park Melton tonight.

After drawing inside the second row, reinswoman Kate Gath was able to get the six-year-old gelding away from the pegs and straight to the lead – a move that even surprised the 38-year-old.
“He did a good job tonight,” said Gath.
“We found our way to the front which wasn’t expected initially.
“It did look like a fast front row and sometimes it doesn’t work out as it does on paper but it was really good to get another win.”
Gath, a Team Teal ambassador who has won 44 Group 1 races, admitted Majestuoso did not do much following his Great Southern Star series where he finished fourth in the qualifier and two-and-a-half hours later came out and won the $300,000 Group 1 final at Melton last week.
“I didn’t work him overly hard, I just let him stroll the last quarter and he hit the line well,” said Gath.
“He just felt really good and really strong.”
Majestuoso extended his record to 24 wins in 49 starts.
