Milestone within reach for Hughes

Hunter Valley reinsman Jake Hughes has a big day ahead at Newcastle today with six drives and with the right results, he could reach a significant milestone.

The concession driver is just four wins off driving a century of winners in his career.

Having started driving in the 2016/17 season, Hughes has notched up 96 winners.

His latest success was on The Bachelor at Newcastle last Friday.

Meanwhile, Harness Racing NSW reminded all participants that facemasks are compulsory for all persons on racecourses throughout the state.

Despite the NSW Government removing lockdown in parts of regional NSW, HRNSW reissued this policy to participants as it remains in place until further notice.

This also includes drivers who are competing in a race.
