Million-dollar earner debuts for new stable

The former Victorian pacer was previously trained by Dean Braun and prior to that Mark Purdon in New Zealand.

Having collected $1,060,645 in stakes throughout his career, Cruz Bromac spent more than a year away from the racetrack and has had two starts back since.

The 10-year-old was all but retired after a start at Melton in November 2020 due to an ongoing fetlock issue flaring up.

However, a promising prognosis from an x-ray last year connections gave their star pacer another chance.

He finished second first up at Bendigo on January 8 before finishing eighth at Ballarat on January 22 after over-racing.

Last season’s top New South Wales reinsman Cameron Hart will drive the gelding.
