Miracle Mile called off as storm hits

The $1million Miracle Mile has been moved to March 12.

The race was meant to go ahead at Menangle tonight, however, 40 minutes prior to the official start time a huge storm passed over the 1400m track.

Rain, lightning and with worsening conditions, officials had no other choice but to postpone the main event until next week.

With six races run, the final three races on the program were abandoned and the Miracle Mile moved to next week.
