Breeders Challenge heat winner Baxter Red will be looking to make it three wins in a row when he races at Bathurst on Wednesday night.
Mitch Turnbull, who has guided the pacer to his last two victories, will drive the Steve Turnbull-trained gelding.
Baxter Red ran a personal best mile rate of 1:56.8 seconds when winning at this venue two starts ago.
He is bred and raced by passionate owner Rob Davis who races all of his horses with the āRedā prefix.
Davis has three horses nominated for the upcoming Inter Dominion series in New South Wales.
Of those nominations, Atomic Red and Firestorm Red are trained by Turnbull. Davisā other Inter Dominion hopeful is Power Of Red.
Other Bathurst-trained pacers nominated for the series include the Mat Rue-trained Fouroeight as well as Amanda Turnbullās Ellmers Image and Bundoran. Our Uncle Sam has also been put up for the series.
