Nerano, a New Zealand bred son of former Kiwi star Tintin In America, hoisted a fresh lifetime mark of 1:50.7 when he outsprinted his rivals from near last at harness racing’s Menangle track on Saturday night.
The gelding’s impressive finishing flourish parlayed his stake tally to within small change of $100,000.

Tim’s A Trooper, Tintin In America’s richest Australian born progeny, used his trademark sprint to down a strong three-year-old lineup at Albion Park. The triple Group winner zipped home in 56.8 seconds to post eighth success and lift his stake earnings to almost $250,000.
Tintin In America was also represented by the NSW provincial three-year-old winners Escape Artist (1:56.1) and Nizhoni (1:57.4).
Tintin In America has sired the winners of nearly $900,000 in Australia this season.
Former world champion Warrawee Needy left winners in both hemispheres last week. The Grogfather led throughout in 1:55.1 at Redcliffe, while Lil Memories (1:58.8) and Azucar Jack (1:59) both emerged successful in Canada.
Don’t Fear Me, a two-year-old by the North America Cup winner Fear The Dragon, became his sire’s latest juvenile winner when he overcame a torrid passage to score at the Albion Park midweek meeting.
Fear The Dragon also sired the fast North American winners Type A Personality (1:52.8), Springbridge Dragn (1:54) and Unami Blue Chip (1:54.8).
Tintin In America, Warrawee Needy and Fear The Dragon are all members of the Wingate Farm, Wagga (NSW) sire roster.
