The talented Orlando Vici gelding Ollivici NZ notched his most important success and earned a new speed badge of 1:57.9 winning harness racing’s Group 2 $30,000 Winter Trotters Cup Final at Bendigo.
It was his third consecutive win and his seventh from 14 lifetime starts.
The Cup win was the highlight of another big week for Orlando Vici, as the sire also of the runaway Echuca winner Aristotle and the Globe Derby Park victor Orlandoās Gift.
Meanwhile, dual Elitlopp winner, Timoko, sired the winner of one of the richest races on the Belgian calendar, the Grand Prix de Wallonie held at the Mons track, when Etonnant, this yearās Elitlopp winner, effortlessly took out the 2300 metres classic at a 1:56.4 rate. The race carried a stake of 72,000 euros for the winner.
Love Youās stocks continue to rise with recent winners including the three-year-old Kyvalley Picasso NZ, Father Christmas NZ (Albion Park) and Liaison, who completed a winning hat trick at Alexandra Park, Auckland.
Quaker Jet, a son of Love You, provided the very impressive winner of the Maryborough Trotters Oaks in Revelstoke, who clocked 58.5 seconds for her last 800 in a six metre win, her third from as many starts this season.
Quake Proof, another of the Quaker Jet progeny, won his fourth race at Cranbourne one day earlier.
Leading percentage sire Used To Me was represented by the Albion Park two-year-old winner Ysmir, who won her first race at only her third start. Used To Me has left 19 individual winners from 31 starters in Australia.
Orlando Vici, Timoko, Love You, Quaker Jet and Used To Me are members of the star-studded sire roster at Haras Des Trotteurs, near Ballarat (VIC.).
