When the two-year-old Queenslander outfinished his rivals at Albion Park recently he became the eighth individual juvenile winner sired by the former top NZ pacer Tintin In America this season.
The gelding, who was having only his third start, rated a slick 1:55.3 for 1660 metres with the last 800 in 57.5.
Tintin In America, who stands at the new Wingate Farm, Wagga (NSW), of prominent Riverina breeder Jake Stockton, has left eight two-year-old winners from 18 starters from a foal crop of 59.
The McArdle horse sired a winning double at Wagga with the three-year-olds Metallica Man (1:55.1) and Tash’s Spartan (1:56.5), who both notched their sixth successes.
Tintin In America’s progeny has earned more than $760,000 in Australia this season.
Warrawee Needy, the world champion studmate of Tintin In America, left metropolitan two-year-old winners in Saveeon and Warrawee’s Shadow at Menangle and Globe Derby Park respectively last week.
Saveeon, who carved out the mile in a career-best 1:52.8, has now won four races, while Warrawee’s Shadow scored at his debut.
Warrawee Needy was also represented by the Gloucester Park winner Lady Zegna, who posted her sixth win from only 11 starts, the three-year-old Unsully (1:57.4) and the Canadian victors High Flyin Jamie (1:52.4) and Lloyd.
To round out a good week, the North America Cup and Adios winner Fear The Dragon sired fast three-year-old winners in Ohio in The Fear Is Real (1:53.6) and Sectionline Racer (1:56.2).
