Menangle Park was the scene for the two and four and five year old Finals of the Trotters Foundation series on Saturday evening.
Promising filly Cee Cee In Paris (Classic Connection) was victorious in the $25,000 Cordina Chicken Two year old Foundation Final in an action packed race.

The race was marred at the start when the previously unbeaten and long odds on favourite Gladiatrix galloped out from the mobile and was tailed off thus losing all chance.
Cee Cee in Paris was safely guided away by Zara Fitzpatrick who settled behind the leader Aldebaran Tucker and Cartacalha. This trio were well ahead of the opposition but Superior Stride made up a lot of ground to tack on to the group.
Fitzpatrick allowed Superior Stride to tackle the leader and then positioned Cee Cee In Paris to have the last crack in the event. Sure enough Cee Cee In Paris although racing a little greenly gathered in the leaders and had enough in reserve to hold off the fast finishing Cartacalha with Aldebaran Tucker third.
CEE CEE IN PARIS JUN 21 REPLAY
All credit must go to Fitzpatrick for a patient drive. It was a special night for Zara as the win was her first at a Saturday metropolitan meeting. Cee Cee In Paris is trained by Zara’s mother Lisa who bred and owns the bay filly.
It was also a sound performance by Cartacalha and the consistent filly is sure to break through soon.

The $50,000 Four and Five year old Final was a more definitive affair with London To A Brick (Bettors Delight) facing only five rivals. The classy gelding who has been racing against the best open class trotters was facing much weaker opposition.

James Rattray on London To A Brick had no hesitation in allowing London To A Brick to stride to the front. Malibuu was given the trail by Zara Fitzpatrick who was looking to take the Foundation double having won on Cee Cee In Paris.
LONDON TO A BRICK JUN 21 REPLAY
But London To A Brick was never threatened and shaken up on straightening he had in plenty in reserve in beating Malibuu by 16 metres with Alpha Stride in third placing.
London To A Brick was impressive in his mile rate of 1.55.7.

He’s now headed for the Inter Dominion where he now ranks as New South Wales best contender. He’ll also appreciate the Albion Park circuit which he’s familiar with. Hopefully he’ll remain sound and give a good account of himself.
