Retired as the fastest horse of all-time with a record of 1:46, the American horse Always B Miki is widely regarded as one of the greatest racehorses of his era.

He was a dual Breeders Crown champion, won seven races at Grade 1 level, held a string of world and track records and was the USA Horse of the Year in 2016. He finished up with a stake tally of $2,826,176.

Since retiring to stud, Always B Miki soon became prominent on the racing scene. He was the leading first season sire in North America in 2020 and the premier three-year-old sire the following year. He is currently the leading active pacing sire of Breeders Crown winners in America with eight and boasts nine millionaire progeny in the USA, including dual millionaires Sylvia Hanover, Miki And Minnie and Grace Hill.

In Australia, his stock have raced with great distinction from the two-year-old classics right through to Grand Circuit class with horses the calibre of Kingman, Mister Smartee, Fate Awaits and Aardie B Miki.

He is already the sire of 17 Group 1 winners and was the joint leading sire of Australian Group 1 winners last season with his Alabar studmate Art Major.

Always B Miki was the leading sire of three-year-old winners in Australia in 2025 and second on the money-winning list and he finished fourth on the all aged stakemoney list.

All told, his Australian born progeny have earned more than $13 million at an amazing average of $42,000 per starter.

Always B Miki didn’t shuttle to Australia last breeding season due to a lower leg injury sustained near the end of the northern hemisphere stud season, however buyers will have the chance to secure one of his progeny at this year’s round of yearling sales.

Australian Pacing Gold has the highest number of Always B Miki stock listed to go through the sale ring anywhere in Australia this year with 15 – eight colts and seven fillies.
