Talented three-year-old Ollivici is proving a fine advertisement for the French stallion Orlando Vici, a nine-time Group winner in Europe whose frozen semen is available from Haras Des Trotteurs, Ballarat.
The New Zealand bred gelding notched his fourth success on end when he outsprinted older, more experienced rivals from a 10 metre handicap at Ballarat recently.
Orlando Vici was also represented by the two-year-old Cravache Dor, who came from second last to win at his second start at Kilmore, and Just Believe, who scored at his first run for six months at Bendigo, downing a top field in a 1:58.6 rate for 2150m metres.
Just Believe, who has now won eight races and $90,000 in stakes, is one of the first crop of Orlando Vici, which produced 11 foals, all of which have been successful. In all, he has 16 winners from 16 Australian-bred starters at an average of $40,914 per starter!
Love You, another member of the powerful Haras Des Trotteursā sire roster, left winners on both sides of the Tasman last week, including the classy three-year-old filly Queen Elida NZ, who recorded her third win on end in the Cranbourne Starlet.
Other recent winners by Love You were the three-year-olds Maestro (Melton) and Jasinova (Cambridge Raceway, NZ), Father Christmas NZ, who posted win No. 18 at Albion Park, and You Really Got Me NZ (Stawell).
Not to be outdone, Love Youās richest son, Quaker Jet, left a pair of highly promising mares in Electrojet, who stormed home along the passing lane to defeat a strong field at Kilmore and then finished a close second at Melton, and La Serena, a runaway winner at Shepparton.
Quaker Jet has sired 16 winners from 23 Australian-bred starters to date.
