With some remarkable results more than $67,000 has been raised in New South Wales alone for this year’s Team Teal campaign.
Since February 1, female drivers across Australasia have worn teal-coloured driving pants to raise awareness and much needed funds for ovarian cancer research.
The campaign concludes today with a number of female trainers and drivers getting one last chance to add to the fundraising effort.
Team Teal ambassador KerryAnn Morris has seven starters at Menangle today, with extra money being donated each time she trains a winner.
Reinswoman Ashley Hart is also an ambassador and the 25-year-old has three drives today.
Another ambassador, Riverina trainer Ellen Bartley, has a starter at Albury tonight.
Harness Racing New South Wales has been donating money for every female-trained or driven winner during the campaign with extra funds added when an ambassador wins.
Other states have also raised plenty of funds during the campaign and with meetings at Redcliffe, Cranbourne and Gloucester Park today, the total amount raised could sky rocket.
