Diminutive filly One More Reason (For A Reason) showed great courage in take out the $100,000 Group 2 Cobbity Equine New South Wales Breeders Challenge Blue for two year old fillies on Saturday evening.

Kept safe as second favourite One More Reason was narrowly beaten in her heat.
Favourite Applauding after a short battle with Fake Friends found the lead and driver Bard Hewitt would have had every reason to feel confident. One More Reason moved up early to race outside the leader.
Where’s My Reason had the one out and one back trail.
ONE MORE REASON SEP 6 REPLAY
Applauding was still travelling comfortably on the final bend but One More Reason urged on by driver Josh Gallagher edged to the front but Where’s My Reason who had the trail issued a strong challenge. But One More Reason dug in and she held off Where’s My Reason by just over a metre with Applauding in third.
One More Reason’s effort was even more credible as in doing a power of work she rated 1.51.8 for the mile trip.

She is prepared by Michael Hardy who hails from Young.
Driver Josh Gallagher commented after the event.
“Connections were really confident. She stayed with the week with Jason Grimson. And I was told driver her as you feel. She felt a million dollars”.
“When Brad Hewitt hit the front so early he made us work. I definitely thought she’s going to have go for a big task. She’s only a little filly she showed how big she is tonight”.
“When she gets on the fence she’s only going to get better. She’s only had a handful of starts to go 1.51/8 at only her second look at Menangle is pretty big”.
Where’s My Reason was gallant finishing second without taking anything away from the winner. The well supported Oshley broke up as the field was released to end up at the rear. She was able to beat four rivals home which suggests that she has ability and should be better next time she steps out.
