The Orlando Vici juggernaut Cravache Dor continued at the all-trotters harness racing meeting at Melton on Friday (Sep. 2).
Cravache Dor scored a brave, fighting win in the Group 1 $60,000 Need For Speed Prince Final, while Ollivici and Adelle, both members of Orlando Viciās NZ crop, ran first and third respectively in the Group 2 $30,000 Tornado Valley Trot Final.
Cravache Dor, a three-year-old gelding, hoisted a fresh lifetime time of 1:56.1 despite sitting parked throughout the 1720 metres. He has won four of his five starts this season.
Meanwhile, Ollivici extended his unbeaten winning sequence this season to five with a sparkling front-end display, reeling off the last two fractions in 29.3 and 28.4 to leave his rivals struggling in his wake.
The mile rate for the 2240 metres was 1:58.3.
Earlier in the night the brilliant Quaker Jet three-year-old filly Revelstoke made a one-act affair of the Need For Speed Consolation in a career-best 1:57.8 mile rate over 1720 metres.
The filly has won four out of her five tries this season and eight from 15 lifetime.
Love You, who is clearly the leading sire of three-year-old trotters in Australia in every category, provided four winners in the space of six days.
Beauty Treasure, a three-year-old filly, won on debut at Shepparton, while the Love You four-year-olds Morsure Damour (Ballarat), Illawong Moonbeam (Globe Derby Park) and Luvaflair (Pinjarra) all scored repeat successes.
Orlando Vici, Quaker Jet and Love You are all members of sire roster at Haras Des Trotteurs, Ballarat (Vic.).
