The decisive win of Inter Dominion champion Just Believe (Orlando Vici) in the Group 3 $30,000 E. B. Cochran Trotters Cup at Ballarat was the harness racing highlight of a busy week for his sire, the French-bred horse Orlando Vici, who is a member of the Haras Des Trotteursā sire roster at Ballarat (Vic.).
It was his fifth win on end and lifted his stake tally to beyond $400,000.
Orlando Vici was also represented by the dual Menangle winner Orlando Storm and the Globe Derby Park victor Orlandoās Gift.
Champion sire Love You left important winners on both sides of the Tasman recently. He sired a double at the Cup meeting at Invercargill with Love N The Port taking out the Group 3 Southern Lights and Our Golden Kenny, while Pyramid Magic notched her fourth success at Oamaru.
In Australia, Love You was represented by the three-year-old filly Our Marvella NZ, who posted her maiden success at Melton, at the Cranbourne winner Kyvalley Surfrider NZ.
The percentage sire Used To Me weighed in with two winners in Victoria in the talented La Perriere, who captured a heat of the Vicbred Platinum Trotting Maresā Sprint Championship in a career-best 1:59.5 at Kilmore, and the Melton winner Surprise To Me.
Other recent stud-sired winners have been Quake Proof (by Quaker Jet) and Megeve (by The Best Madrik).
