Five year old mare Places You Dont (Shadow Play) through virtue of a patient harness racing drive by Lisa Ryan grabbed victory on the line in the $25,000 Kevin and Kay Seymour feature at Globe Derby on Saturday evening.

The race put together an even group of promising pacers and helped by the generous sponsorship of the Seymours who have put a great deal in South Australian harness racing over the years.
PLACES YOU DONT DEC 27 REPLAY
The up and coming three year old Lochinvar Magic who won the Sires Produce two starts back was installed favourite due to his front row draw. There was also support for his stable mate John Vincent while Dreamalittledream who was resuming and starting from the second line was easy in the betting.

Lochinvar Magic was expected to lead but Tonkawaikon showed enough early speed to hold the front leaving the former to race outside the leader.
John Vincent secured a one out and one back trail while Lisa Ryan on Places You Dont was content to take a sit behind the leader.
Dreamalittledream was directly behind John Vincent.

Lochinvar Magic put the pressure on Tonkawaikon on the final bend but John Vincent issued a strong challenge out wide and looked the likely winner. Although Places You Dont seemed slow to take the inside run in the last 50 metres she sprinted quickly to snatch a narrow win over John Vincent with Lochinvar Magic a close third. Dreamalittledream who finished fifth will be improved by that performance.
Places You Dont is raced and trained by Lisa’s husband Toby who is a veterinarian. Toby also bred Places You Dont who is the fourth progeny of her dam Starsign Dreama and so far the best performed.
