For A Reason, or ‘Frank the Tank’ as he is affectionately known, continues to climb the siring ranks.
He is currently the second top three-year-old sire in New South Wales behind Bettors Delight.
This result was added to when promising three-year-old The Stain booked a ticket to next week’s Breeders Challenge Semi Finals at Menangle when winning a heat at Riverina Paceway (Wagga) on Friday.
For A Reason sired the quinella in the race with Braedos Lad finishing second and the fourth-placed Freason, is also by ‘Frank the Tank’. Watch the replay:
It has been a big week for the sire with three-year-old gelding For Nando breaking his maiden at Bathurst last Wednesday night.
That same night Geldof won at Redcliffe and prior to that, three-year-old filly Delightful Reason won at Albion Park last Saturday night in a career best 1:54.5.
It was also a personal best performance for three-year-old For A Reason gelding Reason To Be when he rated 1:56.9 at Bathurst last Friday.
On that night For A Reason two-year-old Mystical Jazz won a heat of the Breeders Challenge at Newcastle. Watch the replay below:
Standing alongside For A Reason at Cobbitty Equine Farm is multiple Group 1 winner Bling It On who has also had a successful week as a sire.
Sitting amongst the top 10 two-year-old sires in NSW, Bling It On had his eighth individual winner at Menangle last Tuesday when Im Vexatious won on debut clocking 1:55.3.
Standing alongside For A Reason and Bling It On at Cobbitty Equine Farm are Lochinvar Art, Jilliby Kung Fu, McWicked, Capt Midnight and Rock N Roll World.
