Top quality mares will be vying for a spot in harness racing’s $200,000 Ladyship Mile on February 26 in a qualifier at Menangle tonight.
The $50,000 Group 2 Sibelia Stakes is a qualifier for the Group 1 and mares from all over Australia are in it hoping to win it.
Last seasonās star three-year-old pacer Anntonia makes her racing return for the season in the feature.
Anntonia became the fastest three-year-old filly in the Southern Hemisphere when winning the Breeders Challenge final in 1:49.8.
Talented West Australian mare Wainui Creek will also front in the feature under the care of trainer Paul Fitzpatrick.
They will take on the likes of defending Ladyship Mile winner Stylish Memphis and Group 1 winning Victorian mare Maajida.
The Chariots Of Fire qualifier, the Paleface Adios Stakes, has also attracted a strong field tonight.
This includes talented Kiwi pacer Krug up against the likes of Victorian pacer Act Now.
The two pacers have drawn alongside each other in barriers one and two respectively.
