Unbeaten filly Quatro Moth (Rock N Roll Heaven) commenced her three year old career in fine style with a convincing all the way harness racing win in the Graham Head Memorial Three year old at Shepparton on Saturday evening.

Her task was made easier with the late scratching of Atua Magic but that should not detract from her success.
From the outside of the front row, driver Mark Pitt nursed the filly to the first corner as she strode past Rocky Rocks.
She had a habit of racing greenly. Even though she had most of her rivals chasing and under pressure she started to shift out and race under pressure at the top of the home straight. However she still had enough in reserve to defeat Rocky Rocks by four metres with Springfield River taking third placing.
QUATRO MOTH 17 JAN REPLAY
Her mile rate for the 2190 metres was 1.59 with a last quarter of 27.1 seconds. Trained by Emma Stewart for her breeder owners Len and Irene Parker from Maryborough Quatro Moth was resuming after her win in the Group 3 Pink Bonnet Stakes at Menangle last May.
Mark Pitt commented on her greenness.
She was knocking off a little bit and she was just getting out a fraction. So I just eased her up. Trying to get her around safe first up.
It’s great to drive a winner on Shepparton Cup night.
I think she’s got a really bright future this mare. As long as everything goes well with her. I’m sure that Clayton and Emma place them very well. I think her main aim at this stage is the NSW Oaks I think she’s going to be right up there with them.
It’s obvious that Quatro Moth will improve with racing and hopefully under the skills of her trainer Emma Stewart she will be more tractable when she tackles the forthcoming three year old fillies features later this season.

The race capped off a great night for the Shepparton club which saw a capacity crowd to enjoy the ten race card. There was a highly successful Fashions on The Field and the club’s newly appointed Social Media Secretary Abbie Turnbull achieved success in the cart when she guided the five year old gelding Intrusion (Always B Miki) to narrowly win the 1260 Sen Am Goulburn Valley Regional Pacing Cup Final.
