A new look and an exciting revamped race series is what Australian Pacing Gold unveiled on its Facebook page tonight.

Corporate betting agency Neds have jumped on board in sponsorship and APG’s 2022 sales and race series offering will see graduates compete for the most prizemoney in APG’s history – $3million in prizemoney and bonuses.

This will be spread across:

  • Eight Group 1 races;
  • 10 Group 2 races;
  • Four Group 3 races.

The main drawcard of the announcement is that APG will host two-year-old finals for both sexes at Menangle for a combined $1.5million in stakes and bonuses.

Colts and fillies will each contest their own $500,000 two-year-old Finals, with a further $250,000 cash bonus available to any sales graduate that can win both their heat and final, whilst also beating the benchmark times of 1:51.3 for colts or 1:52.3 for fillies.

Vendors are also winners with a further $200,000 on offer with $10,000 distributed to each of the 20 finalists of those abovementioned APG Finals.

APG is also waiving its cataloguing fees for all vendors that nominate and present their yearlings for sale at either of APG’s Melbourne or Sydney Sales providing they nominate yearlings for the 2022 Neds APG Yearling Sales prior to the August 16 deadline.

Trotters have not been forgotten either with a $125,000 mixed two-year-old Trotting Final at Menangle.
