Brilliant Tintin In America three-year-old Teddy Disco wrote himself into the harness racing history books when he scored a runaway success in the Group 2 $52,000 Redcliffe Yearling Sales Series 3YO Final last Friday night (June 17).
Despite sitting parked throughout, Teddy Disco scored by 24 metres at a 1:56.8 rate for 2040 metres.
Teddy Disco also took out the two-year-old division of the Classic last season. The gelding has now won 10 of his 16 starts ā including four at Group/Listed level ā and $164,522 in stakes.
Tintin In America was also represented by a ānewā three-year-old winner in Mista Moose and the Newcastle victor Rintin (1:59.4).
The North America Cup winner Fear The Dragon sired seven individual three-year-old winners in America and Canada this week. They included Pearl Snaps (1:51.8), Self Made (1:52), The Iron Throne (1:54.2), Fear Abby (1:54.2) and Do Fear Me (1:56.8).
Warrawee Needy, the former world champion, left winners in both hemispheres. High Flyin Jamie (1:52.4) and the three-year-old Just Call Me Pete both won in Canada, while the three-year-old Unsully notched his first success in 1:58.5 at Wagga.
Warrawee Needy has sired 35 individual winners from 59 Australian born starters to date.
Renaissance Man continues to churn out winners from his first Western Australian crops. Fifty Five Reborn led from end-to-end in the maresā Free-for-all at Gloucester Park to send her stake earnings over the $200,000 plateau, while Apologize won for the seventh time at Bunbury.
Tintin In America, Fear The Dragon, Warrawee Needy and Renaissance Man are members of the Yirribee Pacing Stud sire roster.
