Renowned horse-breaker Rickie Alchin has enjoyed a good week with his team and looks set to continue the form at harness racing’s Penrith track tonight.
Alchin has trained eight winners in his 26 starters this season and boosted that when training a treble at Newcastle last Monday.
Alchin has three horses from his stable racing tonight starting with last start winner Polka Dot Dance in race one.
The mare was one of Alchinās winners during the week and will be driven by stable foreman Ricky Hunt.
Alchin will then use concession driver Ashleigh Delosa to drive Watts Up Sunshine in race five and will use the services of Will Rixon to drive his pacer Rock Around in race nine.
Rixon drove two of Alchinās winners at Newcastle earlier in the week and has been working for the stable for some time.
Alchin will jump back in the sulky for most of his horses engaged at Menangle on Saturday night, including on his evergreen trotter Tough Monarch.
