Roryville was unable to hold the lead from the pole and was forced to await his chances along the sprint lane behind the leader Jillibyjacksparrow who was joined at the head of affairs by La Captain.Ā
Rounding the home turn, Jack elected to pull Roryville ($11) to the outside and the son of Huntsville quickly gathered sufficient momentum to grab the lead in the shadows of the post scoring by a metre from Dalvey Robyn.Ā
Jack revealed he was confident of victory during the run over the 1200 metre dashĀ Ā
āHe had a great trip and was travelling like a winner a long way from home, the two more favored runners in front of us were under pressure and he did look the winner,ā Jack said.Ā
Jack explained why he opted to hook Roryville to the outside rather than head down the sprint lane.Ā
āHe can hit an outside knee so I decided to come to the outside rather than screw him down along the inside and take the risk of him hitting his outside knee,ā he said.Ā Ā
āAnd I wasnāt that concerned about the one on our back and I was happy to try and get an advantage on the ones on our outside.āĀ
Trained by David Moran, Roryville has now won eight of his 25 race track outings.Ā
