When Northern Terror won the Allwood Stud Farm SA Yearling Sale Pace, for two-year-olds, at Globe Derby Park on February 22, he became the second winner which had been sold at the 2019 yearling sales.
Northern Terror was sold for $5,000 at the sale to Dale Afford, of Port Pirie. He bought Hesahark for $10,000 at the 2018 sale and he has won $35,162 (to February 24) from seven wins and four placings in 13 starts.
A gelding by Western Terror (son of Western Hanover), he is out of Sunday Rose, an unraced mare by Holmes Hanover from the Limited Partner mare Donna’s Partner, and tracing eventually to Lucia’s Maid who founded a strong branch of the prized Lady Ostic family.
Northern Terror was bred and raised by Portland horseman Heath Bourke, who has nominated two colts – both by Well Said – for the 2020 Allwood Stud Farm SA Yearling Sale at Magic Millions on Sunday, March 15.
Lot 1 being a colt from Miss Gidget and Lot 21, a colt from Nimbosa.
Sheshell Rock, a very impressive winner on debut at Bendigo rating 1:57.1, was the other winner from the SA sales. Sheshell Rock, which was offered by Harshell Investments Pty Ltd, is a daughter of A RockRoll Dance from Alashell, and changed hands at last year’s sale for $18,000.
