Lightly raced youngster Showmethetanlines (Downbytheseaside) returned to form with a vengeance with an effortless win in the Listed Rod and Fran Fitzpatrick Tatlow Stakes at Menangle on Saturday evening.

Returning from a spell Showmethetanlines was given a patient drive by Bailey McDonough who settled the brown colt in the one out and one back trail behind the leader Lexy who showed his customary early race speed.
Showmethetanlines strolled up to the leaders on the final bend and with seemingly little effort put a space between himself and his rivals. Uptown Chance set out in pursuit but at the finish he was just over 17 metres behind with Lexy in third placing.
SHOWMETHETANLINES NOV 29 REPLAY
Trained by Adam Kelly and owned by Ian Barker Showmethetanlines created an enormous impression when he won the New South Wales Sapling Stakes in March but he only had one run after that for a disappointing third at Melton.

There’s no doubt about his ability and running 1.51.5 in the Tatlow Stakes is testament to his class. He should come back stronger for the three year old classics next season.
Showmethetanlines is the only progeny of the unraced mare Millwood Susie who was by He’s Watching.
