Talented Sydney pacer Loorrim Lake got the job done for his new connections at Tabcorp Park Menangle tonight.

He was driven by Wes Komorowski and after sitting back in the field, made one run at them to cause a minor upset with Major Roll and stablemate Burnham Boy filling the minor placings .The favourite, Pocket Of Terror finished fifth.

Komorowski’s father Jersey Komorowski along with Peter Suggett, Andrew Jarman and Kevin Nelson, recently outlaid $150,000 for Loorrim Lake.

He has remained in the care of trainer Kevin Pizzuto who has now given Loorrim Lake nine starts, resulting in five wins and two seconds.

“We’ll just take each step as it comes with this horse,” said Pizzuto.

“He’ll have a couple more runs and then we’ll aim at races like the Victoria Cup and Inter Dominion if he measures up.

“It was nice to see him put it all together tonight.”

After the recent transaction, Loorrim Lake had his first start for his new connections last week at Menangle and missed the start after galloping.

He made amends tonight, extending his earnings to $148,118 and his record to 14 wins and 13 placings in 41 starts.

Loorrim Lake began his career in the Riverina with trainer Stephen Maguire and took 20 starts to break his maiden.

He then raced with Andrew Vozlic in Mildura and notched up five wins in his time there before being transferred to trainer Emma Stewart where Loorrim Lake won a further three races.

Meanwhile, other Menangle winners included young driver Cameron Hart who steered a treble.
