Somebeachsomewhere colt too good in $125,000 APG Bullion Final

Somebeachsomewhere colt Ripp has ripped a quick last 800m to easily down his rivals in the 1st APG Group One final tonight at Menangle in the hands of harness racing driver Doug Hewitt.

Trained by Bernie Hewitt, Ripp was content to trail early behind the second favourite My Ultimate Chevron in the APG Sydney Sale March 2023 Gold Bullion Series 31 3YO C&G Final (Gr1) run over a mile.

In the straight Ripp came to the middle of the track and strode clear to win in easily 1:51.8

The final 800m was run in a fast 54.2 with a closing 400m in 26.8.
