Local pacer Speak The Truth (Bettors Delight) atoned for his disappointing run last week when he gave a copy all the way display to win the sixth harness racing heat of the Second round of the Ladbrokes Inter Dominion Pacing Championships at Albion Park on Saturday evening.

Once again driver Adam Sanderson was right on the ball being able to dictate his own terms of pace shortly after taking up the front running.
SPEAK THE TRUTH JUL 12 REPLAY
Favourite Captains Knock was caught wide early but driver Brad Hewitt was able to secure a one out and one back trail.
However there were no mid race moves in the race thus Speak The Truth had little trouble running his final quarters in 27.1 and 27.8 seconds. Captains Knock was brave. He made his run turning for home and looked as if he might make a race of it but on the night Speak The Truth had too much in reserve.

Speak The Truth had three metres to spare over Captains Knock with Cya Art running on for third while the mare Rakero Rebel came from near last to snatch fourth placing.
Driver Adam Sanderson stated.
“He delivered. We got lucky with the draw and obviously a weaker field. It’s as good as he’s gone for a long time so I’m really happy. He was holding them. That’s his forte. He stays he lacks that bit of speed and he was strong on the line. So it’s all systems go for next week”.
“It was obvious before the heat whom I might drive but the way he felt I think I’ll just wait for the barrier draw so it will be barrier draw dependent”.
Trainer Shannon Price added “He loves running along in front and Adam rated him perfectly. He showed what he can do when he’s back to his best”.
