Guard The Fire, a two-year-old harness racing filly by new Somerset Farms, Queensland import Catch The Fire, set a fresh lifetime mark of 1:54.4 when she led most of the way in a $20,000 division of the Buckeye Stallion Series at Delaware, Ohio recently. She scored by five lengths.

Other recent winners by Catch The Fire have been Fire In My Veins (1:55.8) and Fireandshine (1:57.2).
Catch The Fire has left the winners of more than $600,000 from his first crop. Of 50 foals, 36 have raced an 19 have won with 17 in 2:00 and 15 in 1:55.
Catch The Fire’s studmate A Rocknroll Dance continues to churn out the winners in Australia, New Zealand and North America.
In Australia, he was represented by the Menangle winners Curly James (1:50.6) and Kanina Provlima (1:51), the Gloucester Park victors Solesseo Matuca (1:55.2), Blackrock (1:58.3) and Unlucky and the Albion Park winners Laurie Dee (1:56.5), Pumpkin Pat (1:56.6), Tacka’s Last Dance (1:57.3) and Glover NZ (1:57.7).
While in NZ, the A Rocknroll Dance sired Princess Mergaten made it six wins from starts when she captured the Mares’ Spring Sprint in 1:55.8 at Addington.
A Rocknroll Dance is ranked in eighth position on this season’s all aged list with 150 individual winners and $3.26 million progeny earnings.
The progeny of Catch The Fire and A Rocknroll Dance are eligible for the QBred series with $1.3 million in stakemoney and almost $3 million in bonuses to breeders and owners.
