Victorian harness racing trainer Michael Stanley says his filly Soho Tokyo is on song ahead of tonight’s New South Wales Oaks heat.
The beautifully-bred youngster – by Bettors Delight from former top-line juvenile Pelicanrama – has been among the placings at both her runs this time in.
“I’m really happy with her,” Stanley said. “She didn’t have any luck around Warragul and then we gave her a run at Charlton.
“She needed the run there and she finished third behind two nice horses (Ricimer and Rule Of Thumb) coming home in 55.9 (1:58.7 mile rate).
“I was really happy with the run…it was a good hit-out.”
Stanley’s talented four-year-old Young Modern made the trip to Menangle with Soho Tokyo this morning, with the son of Modern Art set to contest the Paleface Adios Stakes.
