Star joins $100,000 Club

The Follow The Stars gelding Star Of Willoughby became his sire’s 11^th progeny to reach the six figure mark in stake earnings when he led throughout at Gloucester Park last Friday (July 5).

The win was the cornerstone of a brilliant fortnight for Follow The Stars, who sired nine individual winners of 11 races in three different States.

Per Ardua Ad Astra (Globe Derby Park twice) and Follow Rocknroll (Bunbury and Narrogin) both scored multiple successes, while the three-year-old Goggins, Shes A Dactyl, Sugar Boo, Resolution, Ellucifer, Nightwatch Star and Star Of Willoughby all notched single victories.

Follow The Stars, who is standing this season at the Medowie Lodge stud, Newcastle (NSW), of Darren Reay, has sired 38 individual winners and progeny earnings in excess of $600,000 in 2024.

All told, the Art Major horse has left the winners of $5.6million with 144 winners from 193 starters and an average of almost $30,000 per starter.
