Former top Kiwi pacer Tintin In America, who stands at harness racing’s new Wingate Farm, Wagga (ex Yirribee Pacing Stud), of successful NSW breeder Jake Stockton, looks to have unearthed another smart juvenile in Queenslander.
The two-year-old gelding notched his second success from only five starts at Albion Park when he led throughout at a 1:58.2 rate for 1660 metres with the last quarter in a slick 27 seconds.
Warrawee Needy, a studmate of Tintin, sired a pair of promising three-year-olds in NSW last week in Boomer Rock, a winner in 1:52.5 at Menangle, and Esther Rising, who scored at Wagga in 1:56.1.
Warrawee Needy was also represented by a brace of winners in Canada including Just Plain Needy (1:56.2).
Meanwhile, the North America Cup winner Fear The Dragon, whose three-year-olds have banked more than $1.8 in America this season, sired the fast winners Type A Personality (1:52.6), Ellavarg Hanover (1:53.6) and Fear Her Touch (1:54.8).
