The 2026 Tasmanian Yearling Sale will take place on February 14 at Quercus Park, Carrick, with a select catalogue of 35 lots on offer.

We Walk By Faith

Buyers will find yearlings by leading sires including Sweet Lou, Downbytheseaside, Rock N Roll Heaven and Art Major, alongside exciting young stallions such as Bettors Wish, Captain Crunch, Ride High, Stay Hungry and Lather Up.

First-season sires are also represented, with progeny of Pebble Beach, Catch The Fire, and the first Southern Hemisphere crop of All Bets Off, a son of Bettors Delight.

Pedigrees feature close relations to notable performers, including next Saturdays Globe Derby Stakes favourite Hungry Hippo, multiple New Zealand Group 1 winner We Walk By Faith, Karalta Dazzler, and Belmont & Blue Bonnett winner Written In Silk.

Tasmania’s leading breeders are strongly represented:

  • Brooke Hammond presents a draft of five yearlings
  • Maxfield Standardbreds offers four
  • Richard Hall, former greyhound trainer, also consigns four

All lots are TasBred eligible, with buyers able to nominate their purchases for the Nutrien Classic Pacing Series by paying the sustaining fee at settlement.

Adding further incentive, Tasracing will again provide a $5,000 first-win bonus for any sales graduate scoring as a two-year-old.

Catalogues are now available online at www.nutrienstandardbred.com.au/tas-standardbred-yearling-sale/
