The Jaunita Breen trained pacer Roarforroscoe (Betterthancheddar) reinforced his affinity with Melton when he scored a last stride harness racing win in the TAB We’re On Legend Bill McKay Pace.

Breen and Roarforroscoe lost the battle for the lead to Kowalski Analysis and had to be content in awaiting their chance along the sprint lane in the home straight.
And that’s the way the race panned out.
Roarforroscoe ($3.20) mustered sufficient momentum down the home stretch to grab Kowalski Analysis in the final strides to get the verdict by half a head with Jillibyjacksparrow four metres away third.

Roarforroscoe’s past four wins stretching back over a 14-month period have all been at Melton.
Breen said Roarforroscoe had been lightly raced since his previous win in April.
“He hasn’t really raced a lot since his last win but it’s nice to have him back in form, “Breen said.
Breen said the winner’s recent outings have been better than it appeared on paper.
“I don’t think it was as bad as it looked, sometimes you can run a good race from a really bad draw and still not get into it,” she said.
“He had a little break because we went away and that break turned out to be longer than we planned it to be.”
Breen admitted she was confident in the run although slightly apprehensive approaching the sprint lane.
“Providing he was happy to turn left into the sprint lane, he has argued about that in the past but he was good tonight,” she said.
Breen said her stable star will see a bit of the countryside later in the year along with his regular sojourns to Melton.
“The country cups are the main target for him, other than that week to week he is here,” she said.
